JAKARTA, April 9, 2020 – The Nusantara Dua satellite today, Thursday (9/4), was launched from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center (XLSC) in Xichang, China, at 19:46 local time. After the lift off process went well, an anomaly occurred when entering the third-stage rocket release stage, so the satellite could not reach the designated orbit.

President Director of PT Palapa Satelit Nusa Sejahtera (PSNS) Johanes Indri Trijatmodjo said, “Nusantara Dua has been protected by insurance that fully provides protection against the risks of satellite launch and operation.”
