UNIFYING THE ENTIRE ARCHIPELAGO

NUSANTARA TIGA,
THE LARGEST SATELLITE CAPACITY IN ASIA

The first satellite in Asia with Level 6 Spacebus Neo with a capacity of 150 Gbps

Very High Throughput Satellite

Nusantara Tiga Satellite has the ability to carry various transponders providing of up to 150 Gbps satellite capacity distributed to 116 beams across the country. At an orbit of 146 east longitude, this multifunctional satellite will be the largest telecommunication satellite in Asia.

Electric Propulsion

Electric propulsion technology cuts down hundred of KGs of the satellite’s weight at launch, less fuel, longer satellite life. Satria-1 has an operational life of up to 15 years.

MILESTONE

The Government, led by the Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kominfo), persists in expediting the progress of digital connectivity throughout the Archipelago. This concerted effort aims to construct a robust framework for digital transformation, propelling our nation forward into the future.

The Nusantara Tiga satellite functions as a cutting-edge solution to alleviate the disparity in internet broadband access and effectively bridge the digital divide, particularly in the outermost, lagging and frontier (3T) regions.

The Nusantara Tiga Satellite boasts a towering height of 6.5 meters. This advanced satellite will provide comprehensive coverage to all regions of Indonesia, utilizing a total of 116 cutting-edge spotbeams to deliver seamless internet connectivity.

SNT has forged a productive partnership with Thales Alenia Space, a prominent French aerospace manufacturer, to expedite the initiation of the construction phase in 2019.

11 Ground Station were prepared as communication links with Nusantara Tiga Satellite, those are located in Batam, Cikarang, Banjarmasin, Pontianak, Tarakan, Manado, Kupang, Ambon, Manokwari, Timika and Jayapura.

The assembly of Nusantara Tiga is a collaboration between Indonesia and world-class manufacturers such as Thales Alenia Space, French aerospace manufacturer and with SpaceX for its Falcon 9 rocket launcher.

Enhanced digital connectivity will serve as a catalyst in augmenting access to top-notch education and healthcare services, while concurrently diminishing the extent of economic and infrastructural disparities. This notable advancement will propel us towards the realization of the sustainable development goals.
