We see that the space industry is now worth 600 billion dollars and is expected to grow to 1.8 trillion dollars by 2035. So, we should not just be spectators. Hopefully, cooperation with BRIN and potential collaboration with other ministries and institutions will encourage the development of the Indonesian space industry
– Adi Rahman Adiwoso, CEO of PSN

The Cooperation Agreement covers the implementation of research and development of microsatellite platforms in geostationary orbit. In this case, BRIN trusts PSN as a cooperation partner because it has experience in building geostationary telecommunications satellites in Indonesia. PSN and BRIN also collaborate in creating and utilizing superior Human Resources (HR) expertise for the development of satellite technology in Indonesia.

PSN through the Signing of the Cooperation Agreement also emphasized its goal to catch up with Indonesia’s backwardness in satellite development, and develop satellites quickly & economically, while building space access capabilities and creating a new economic sector based on space utilization.

The collaboration between PSN and BRIN is also a form of effort to encourage downstreaming of research and innovation results produced by BRIN researchers and industrial partners, which are expected to become commercial products and bring Indonesia to the international stage.
